Annual Fund

The Annual Fund supports all aspects of our organization in real time. All gifts toward the Annual Fund reinforce our ability to grow the potential of the programs that make the KWE experience so transformative. Unrestricted donations provide KWE with a reliable and flexible source of revenue that we can direct towards our greatest needs and priorities.

Loyalty Fund

The Loyalty Fund is an endowment fund built by the collective efforts of generations of young alumni who are passionate about sending great kids to Kieve and Wavus regardless of their financial means. By supporting the Loyalty Fund, you’re supporting campers from all socioeconomic backgrounds and expanding KWE’s ability to meet the needs of every camper.

Endowment

The funds that make up the KWE’s endowment have been established by alumni, family, and friends to operate in perpetuity through long-term investment. KWE is committed to growing our endowment to reduce our dependence on tuition in order to increase accessibility and run the most impactful summer camps and year-round programs for local schools and community organizations. While some funds are restricted for a specific use, the unrestricted endowment provides support for all areas of KWE — from financial aid to protecting our lake and campuses.

Gift Planning

A planned gift is one of the most flexible and meaningful ways that you can support future generations of KWE program participants. You do not have to be wealthy to express your loyalty, confidence, and support. Giving through your estate plan or a gift that provides lifetime income can have significant tax benefits while also providing for KWE and your family. Joining Paddle & Pines, a group of those who have honored our organization with a planned gift, is as easy as designating KWE as a beneficiary of your will, trust, retirement plan, or insurance policy.

Career Networking

Kieve and Wavus are transformational experiences because of our amazing staff, and too often our counselors and directors can’t come back, citing a pull toward “real-world” summer jobs or internships. But we know that the commitment, creativity, and responsibility required to lead our camps builds the professional skills that our staff will need in their careers. So we’ve formalized a professional network of alumni and friends who know a KWE resume is worthy of pulling to the top of the stack. Did you know you may be able to double the impact of your gift? Ask your employer if they sponsor a matching gift program. Gifts from employees’ spouses and retirees may also qualify for a match.
