Come celebrate the first century of Kieve Wavus Education and help us usher in the next hundred years of kindness and respect.

In the summer of 1926, Don Kennedy, a 25-year-old teacher from Philadelphia, opened Camp Kieve on the shores of Damariscotta Lake where he’d purchased an old sheep farm in Nobleboro, Maine. He was bold, but he never could have dreamed that future generations would grow and steward this organization into what we’ve become: Kieve Wavus Education, a nonprofit organization that leads Camp Kieve for boys, Wavus Camp for girls, and The Leadership School, and deeply impacts thousands of people every year.

2026 Marks

100 years of Camp Kieve
45 years of The Leadership School
20 years merged with Wavus Camp

AS KWE CELEBRATES OUR CENTENNIAL, we are fundraising to invest in the people and places that provide transformational programs for our participants. Improving our campuses, increasing access, and stewarding our environment will ensure KWE empowers our kids to thrive today and for generations to come. Contact President Sam Kennedy at ssk@kwe.org to learn more.

PRICING

KWE aims to make joining us at the Centennial as affordable as possible. Once you get to camp, the weekend is all-inclusive.

Weekend Events Only ‐ $275

This includes all meals and activities for Friday and Saturday, but does not include on-campus accommodations in a cabin or tent.

Weekend Events WITH Accommodations ‐ $375

This includes all meals and activities for Friday and Saturday plus a spot in a cabin or for a tent for both Friday and Saturday. It is the same cost no matter if you’re staying for one night or two or in a cabin or a tent.

We will organize accommodations as applications arrive, so please submit as soon as possible. For those registering to stay on-campus, we will notify you by early 2026 if you’ve been placed in an on-campus cabin or tent spot. If you are not allocated on-campus accommodations, you will be encouraged to register for a Weekend Events Only ticket at that time.

What if I’d like to attend the Centennial, but the cost is prohibitive to me? Are there options?
We do not want the cost of attending to be a hardship, and in those situations, we’re here to help. Requests for financial support should be sent to kwe100@kwe.org. Please note, assistance is not available for transportation, off-campus lodging, or other non-centennial expenses. All requests will remain confidential.
