Kieve Wavus Education expresses our thanks and gratitude for their service to our nation by offering veterans and their families a stress-free week-long program at our Veterans Camps. Our camps offer veterans a chance to relax, have fun and reconnect with their family and with other veterans. Eat great food, sleep like a baby, and build great memories. Come to one of our camps and enjoy a variety of fun, entertaining and challenging indoor and outdoor activities. We have two specialty camps – Vietnam Only and Women Only – and a Family Veterans Camp for any veteran and their family. All three of our camps are one week long and are offered at no cost, just sign up and get yourselves here!
Due to renovations of the Kennedy Learning Center, KWE cannot host the Vietnam Only and Women Only veterans’ camps in 2023. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the community back in 2024. Please keep an eye on the website for updates.
Family Veterans Camp applications are now available below. Kindly note that applying does not guarantee acceptance into the camp.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our focus at Veterans Camps is to provide you and your family a safe and fun environment. This is not a medical or counseling based program. Our goal is for you to have fun and be actively involved with your family and with other veterans. Some of the activities might include:
- outdoor high ropes course
- indoor climbing wall
- wood working
- snowshoeing & orienteering
- cross-country skiing
- fishing or ice fishing
Other activities may be available as well as a variety of evening entertainment. There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy time with your family and loved ones as well as get to know other veterans and their families.
Our Veterans Camps are funded by KWE with support from a long list of generous donations made by individuals and businesses who are deeply appreciative of our veterans. The program is also supported by the annual Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) Burgers, Bikes, and Rods Rally with over 100 bikes and 30 rods riding in to our Wavus campus during the girls’ summer camp and the annual Tee It Up Fore a Veteran golf scramble.
